Adding interfaces question

A additional card was added to a Juniper mx2020 router. Rediscovered the router and can see the new interfaces but SW will not allow me to add them to the configuration. I select List Resources, click on the specific interfaces I want to add, hit the Submit button and nothing happens. Eventually the request times out. Has anyone seen this or know of a work around?
