I need some clarification on building a distributed architecture for our solarwinds product. What determines the polling engines capacity is it the servers physical resources like CPUs, Memory etc or is it that each polling engine irrespective or the servers resources has a maximum polling capacity? Currently our polling engine is polling at 71% of its polling rate, how this number is determined.
Also which option is better to build a distributed architecture EOC or additional polling engines with multiple web servers.
