Additional info now that I have a minute. Both our Patch Manager server and our WSUS servers were migrated from one datacenter to another. This is not a firewall issue however. I've ruled that out. They did change IP's, but not domains or anything like that.
From a remote console I get the error message this message "login failed for user (domainname)\wsusserver$. For instance to use Microsoft's example, if my Patch Manager server was say Blue in the Contosso domain and my WSUS server was called WSUSP2, it would say that "Login failed for user Contosso\wsusp2$.
There is no such user of course in our domain. Why is it trying to log in as WSUSP2$ Why isn't it using the credentials from the credential ring?
