The instructions in the download are still wrong, and as user "adamc" noted above, are very dangerous: you will indeed blow away your WHD install if you follow them!
The problem is that whoever is writing the instructions is writing them with only a knowledge of how Windows works, and is seemingly ignorant of Mac OS X.
In Windows, if you copy a folder to a location with an identially-named folder, it will merge the contents of the folders, replacing any same-named files in the destination with those from the source.
In Mac OS X, if you copy a folder to a location with an identically-named folder, it will replace the old folder completely with the new folder. There's no merging of the contents: the old folder (and all of its contents) is gone. Because of this, If you followed the instructions on OS X, you'd end up with a production "bin" folder with exactly one file in it (the new push cert), and you just completely hosed your WHD installation.
Your documentarians need to learn their platforms, and do proper testing of their installation instructions on all platforms, before they release patches and fixes.
