Let me address the points 1-by-1:
I have successfully completed the wizard, or so i think, but am in doubt since i keep getting a message in the info ribbon stating that:
The Data Sources monitored by Virtualization Manager and Orion seems to be out of sync. Use Synchronization Wizard to have both environments synchronized» Run Synchronization Wizard Even after running the wizard several times/dismissing the message.
When running the wizard again, steps 2 to 4 are skipped when clicking Next. I end up at the review page where nothing is listed.
Yes, you have datasources that are configured in Orion that are not configured in VMan. Thus you will continue to get the Ribbon message until you resolve that. If you see the last screen of the Sync Wizard, you will see a message telling you that - but apparently it's easily missed, so that's great UX feedback. We did want to have the synchronization be bi-directional, but unfortunately couldn't make the work with the schedule.
Apart from that, i'd suggest you change the way the Wizard Presents itself in the web console.
Can you elaborate on what you mean here? I'm not sure I understand.
When completing the Synchronization process, you are led to the “Setup Virtualization Manager Integration” page – where the user and pwd fields are blank. This lead me to believe that something went wrong and I need to type this in. So naturally, trusting the intuitive design on the web interface, I typed in the usr and pwd again and that triggered the Synchronization process again. Could you either add stars ***** in place of the usr and pwd fields and or blank out these fields if the integration is already setup? This will cause great confusion if left as is.
This is great feedback. I've passed it on to the team and we'll see if we can't get this one addressed in the GA build.
